~Today was the blessing day of Talia and Coral. Great aunt Caren made the blessing gowns with matching bonnets and booties. Talia is in the purple ribboned outfit and Coral is wearing the pink ribbons. Granny made the matching quilts with their names on each corner of the their quilts so there was no guessing as to who's quilt was who's. What a special day! I just wish I could have been there!!! ~Due to my computer security controls I was not able to access my blogspot account until just this morning. So perhaps now that I am able to access my account I will post more often.
~Celia, thanks for the post you left I wish that we had taken a picture of us gathered around Linnie's quilt. It was a good time spent in service of a dear friend. Her son, who's name is also Jamie, was thrilled so it was all worth it! And yes, Jamie, I know your birthday is coming soon too. :o) Are you coming to the Island of Kuna to celebrate?
~And as a final note for those of you wondering why or how I call this place what I do, it was Aunt Cindy who started it some two years ago when she came here to help with Emily's wedding dress. She told the people at her work that she was going on vacation to "the Island of Kuna off the coast of Boise". It was so cute it stuck. I like the idea of living on an island rather than "in the middle of the road" as I have thought of this place since before I even moved here. You see there is no ocean here or any other body of water that would suffice my need for being near the water's edge, as I was used to living near for the major part of my life. So for now, at least in my mind's eye I am living on an island just off the coast of Boise and that works for me.
~Love you all!
